Salt Substitute Recipe

You may help cut down on your salt (sodium) intake by using a salt substitute. To make your own salt substitute, mix the following ingredients together and put them in a shaker:

  • 2.5 g (0.5 tsp) cayenne pepper
  • 2.5 g (0.5 tsp) garlic powder
  • 5 g (1 tsp) each:
    • Basil
    • Onion powder
    • Black pepper
    • Parsley
    • Mace
    • Sage
    • Marjoram
    • Savoury
    • Thyme
