Clay is used to draw out toxins and foreign substances, heal burns, and repair damaged tissue. There are many colours of healing clay with a variety of therapeutic values. Generally, light colours, as white or light blue, are delicate and used for dry skin; yellow, green, and lavender are for medium skin types; the darker reds and blacks are for oily skin. For other uses, the light clays are mild in their therapeutic action, while the green is considered the most drawing for toxins.
