Exhibition on 39th HK Youth Cultural and Arts Competitions


Hong Kong (HKSAR) – Members of the public are invited to view the winning entries of the 39th Hong Kong Youth Cultural and Arts Competitions at the Exhibition Gallery of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui, from September 16 to 18.

Some 100 winning pieces from different categories of the competitions will be displayed including photography, painting, Chinese essay-writing, Chinese story-writing, Chinese calligraphy, slogan and poster design, couplets and Chinese poetry-writing.

Sponsored by the Home Affairs Department, the competitions have been jointly organised by the Hong Kong Youth Cultural and Arts Competitions Committee and various community organisations with support from over 70 organisations since 1975. The competitions aim to promote youth interest in and understanding of Chinese language and arts and culture, and to encourage them to participate in healthy extra-curricular activities. This year’s competitions attracted over 16,000 entrants in 18 categories.

The exhibition will be open on September 16 (4pm to 8pm), September 17 (10am to 8pm) and September 18 (10am to 6pm).

Admission is free.

Each visitor will receive a souvenir on a first-come, first-served basis while stocks last.
