Is all the talk of the Olympics making you feel guilty about your own fitness?

Never fear, there is a way you can burn all the calories of an Olympic athlete without even leaving your bedroom.

However, there is a catch. You need a partner to perform these moves – or at least most of them.

You can burn all the calories of an Olympic athlete – without even leaving your bedroom

This infographic breaks down the calories burning potential of sex moves

Welcome to the bedroom Olympics. There are no gold medals – but these sex positions offer great workouts.

The infographic, created by online medical and pharmacy service Dr Felix breaks down each sex position by calories and pairs it with an Olympic event.

Two and a half minutes of the classic missionary position is the same as a 100 metre sprint.

Plus, the position is a great work out for the hips, glutes (bottom muscles) and legs.

Want to exercise your abs and glutes? Three minutes of adding a squatting element to the ‘woman on top’ position should do the trick.

This position is equal to the 110 metre hurdles.

A steeplechase is the equivalent of 50 minutes of ‘doggy style’ as it’s a workout for your legs

The high-fitness of the athletes reduces the calories they burn in each event. So, it is perfectly possible for you to do an equivalent workout from the comfort of your own home.

A steeplechase is the equivalent of 50 minutes of ‘doggy style’ – and works out your legs.

The 3,000 metres steeplechase is one of the most gruelling events at the Olympics, involving hurdles and water obstacles to jump.

Twenty minutes of ‘cowgirl’ position, is equal to the triple jump – sometimes referred to as the hop, skip and jump.

It works out the abs, back, hips and legs.

The pole vault is the equivalent to an exhausting 20 minutes of the ‘wheelbarrow’ position

‘Reverse cowgirl’ for 25 minutes is the same as competing as an Olympic rower

The tricky high jump exercises the same muscles as the risque 69 position, including the back and legs. Twenty minutes of this position is the equivalent to one high jump.

The pole vault is the equivalent to an exhausting 20 minutes of the ‘wheelbarrow’ position.

The ‘wheelbarrow’ position sees man hold his partner by the ankles when their hands are on the floor, working out the arms and legs.

Meanwhile, performing sex acts with your hands can be compared to the javelin, according to the infographic.

‘Reverse cowgirl’ for 25 minutes is the same as competing as an Olympic rower and much like the sport – a favourite of Oxford and Cambridge – the reverse cowgirl will help develop your abs and back muscles.

Working only the arms, half an hour of ‘me time’ works out your arms just like archery

Only 10 minutes of standing sex is the equivalent of 1 km of cycling, and works the glutes

Twenty-five minutes of passion with your legs in the air is equal to a round of gymanstics

Only 10 minutes of standing sex is the equivalent of 1 km of cycling, and works the glutes.

Performing an intimate sex act on your partner oral sex is also compared with swimming 100 metres, and works the abs, arms, chest and legs.

Meanwhile, 25 minutes of passion with your legs in the air is equal to a round of gymnastics.
