"M" Mark events roving exhibitions 2013

Hong Kong (HKSAR) – The following is issued on behalf of the Major Sports Events Committee:

The Major Sports Events Committee (MSEC) will organise a series of roving exhibitions on “M” Mark events at various shopping malls from tomorrow (July 22) to early September 2013 to further promote public awareness of “M” Mark events.

The roving exhibitions will feature interesting information and attractive photos about existing “M” Mark events such as the Hong Kong Marathon, Hong Kong Sevens and the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix – Hong Kong. Members of the public are invited to visit the exhibitions.

The first exhibitions will be held at Island Resort Mall, Shatin Galleria and Tai Po Plaza from July 22 to 24. The roving exhibitions will then move to other shopping malls, including Wonderful Worlds of Whampoa, Kowloon City Plaza, Citywalk, Metro City Plaza II and others.

Please visit the “M” Mark events website at www.mevents.org.hk for details of the exhibition venues.

The “M” Mark System aims to help local national sports associations organise major sports events and nurture them into sustainable undertakings. Sports events meeting the assessment criteria in terms of economic benefits, impact on sports development and good track record of the organisers, will be granted the “M” Mark status by the MSEC. Funding support will also be provided to some of the event organisers.
