The actress, 34, is a big fitness advocate. ‘I prefer classes where you sweat, you laugh, you can go with your friends, with really loud music so it’s fun for an hour,’ she says. ‘I’ve tried Piloxing [a cross between Pilates, boxing and dance] and Cardio Barre’ [a ballet fitness trend]. She has also tried the Tracy Anderson Method, a dance-based workout.

What to try: 

This ‘straight arm kick back exercise’ tones the shoulders, arms and upper body.

Hold a weight or bottle of water in each hand, positioning your feet hip-width apart. Slightly bend your knees and hinge forward from your hips, keeping your back flat and allowing your arms to hang straight down with palms facing each other.

Lift your arms up and back until they are slightly above hip level but parallel with your back. Lower your arms back down to the starting position. Repeat 12 to 15 times. As you get stronger, repeat the set two to three times with 90 seconds’ rest between each set.
