Gauging someone’s thoughts about PDA when you first start dating is almost as tricky as getting used to their go-to emojis and texting shorthand—and some would argue that it’s just as important.

Maybe you’re a hand-holder when they’re more of a waist-grabber, or maybe you’re up for a public makeout session and they’re…not.
