local hospital offered him free surgery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Kuli Bai, 22, gave birth to the unnamed boy  at her home in a small village, in Pindwara,  northern India.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Her family were so shocked by her son&#8217;s two extra legs, hand and penis they were going to dump him in a nearby river.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">News  spread through the village, until it reached Bharat Pal Danda, 35, who runs Matra Chhaya Hospital, in Pindwara, who quickly sent an ambulance to collect the mother and child.<\/p>\n<p TWIN?\u00a0<\/h3>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Parasitic twins occur when a baby is born with the attached tissue of an undeveloped twin who died in the womb.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The parasitic twin&#8217;s tissues are dependent upon the &#8216;host&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Parasitic twins arise when identical twins fail to separate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">It is unclear why this occurs, but may be due to a restricted blood supply during pregnancy, which leads to the death and partial absorption of one of the twins.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The condition occurs in around one in a million live births.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\"><span class=\"mol-style-italic\">Source: Live class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Mr Danda said: \u2018I was very shocked when I heard these relatives, who seem extremely orthodox and superstitious, were planning to kill the baby by throwing him into the river. I couldn\u2019t sit back and do nothing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u2018When they arrived I was upset to see the condition of the child. Even though he was internally fine, his condition was problematic due to the attached extra limbs and genitals.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u2018We have now removed the extra limbs and intestines that were restricted to the parasitic twin.
