The app suggests how many calories you should allocate for each meal based on your\u00a0weight-loss<\/a>\u00a0goals and current weight, and that even includes snacking. It would give me the calories and nutritional information for whatever I was eating, and log it toward my daily total. I&#8217;m not sure what my original calorie consumption was, just that it was outrageously high compared to the 1,650 calories a day Lose It! said I needed to consume to lose weight.<\/p>\n<p>The main things I cut out of my diet were regular soft drinks and sweet tea.\u00a0Drinking calories<\/a>\u00a0adds up very fast, and I didn&#8217;t like wasting my calories on beverages. Unfortunately I am not a big fan of fruits and vegetables, but I drank V8 and things like that to help get my daily amount of veggies in. And I ate plenty of protein. Grilled chicken is probably my favorite. I eat more grilled foods now than I did before\u2014I was all about everything fried before I started losing weight. I also cut back on a lot of junk food, especially chips.\u00a0<em>(Hit the reset button\u2014and burn fat like crazy with The Body Clock Diet<\/a>!)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The most helpful thing I did for my diet was paying attention to\u00a0portion control<\/a>. Simply cutting back on the amount of food I was taking in made a huge difference. Another helpful thing I did was plug in my meals for that day into Lose It! at the beginning of the day, which left me reassured that I could enjoy snacks with the calories that were left. I asked my family what we were doing for dinner so I could go ahead and plug it in and eat around that meal for the day. In the beginning I did a lot of planning ahead.
