a motorcycle reconnaissance battalion &#8211; during the Second World War.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">When the war ended, he worked as a legal clerk, helping to deal with people&#8217;s estates before the power of attorney law came into place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">He went on to be an estate agent and retired when he was 60.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Mr Marston lost his wife Doris nine years ago after a battle with Alzheimer&#8217;s and his daughter Carol to a rare form of lung cancer when she was 58.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">When he leaves hospital, he plans to rearrange the holiday to Torquay and also visit his friends at the Ringwood Conservative Club.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Mr Marston, who lives independently in a warden assisted flat, said: &#8216;I hope I can get back to being as active as I was before, I think the rest of my body is fine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;This is the third time I have had cancer so it&#8217;s quite amazing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;I still have a full and busy life socialising at the Ringwood Conservative Club.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">His son-in-law Ray Wilshaw, 67, said: &#8216;Victor is a very positive person and until quite recently he was very active.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;He still is but his knees have given way now so he has a mobility scooter to get around.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;We can&#8217;t believe he&#8217;s the oldest cancer survivor, it&#8217;s incredible.
