When I was sent to the waiting room afterwards I thought, there\u2019s no backing out now.\u2019\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Lianne was then taken to a room where she was given a gown to change into and taken to surgery. On coming round after the operation, she felt numb and wondered if the procedure had even taken place.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u2018There was no pain at first but when I saw my bandaged chest I knew the surgery had been done,\u2019 she said. \u2018I was still high on morphine.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Lianne was taken to her hotel in a tuk tuk, helped into her bed and given a Rohypnol tablet. Her left breast was more badly damaged than her right.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u2018I should have screamed but I couldn\u2019t find my voice, let alone catch a breath,\u2019 she said. \u2018I was hoping to wake up from the nightmare at any moment but of course, it was all real.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;The examination room was spotless, but it may as well have been a sleazy and dirty back street surgery.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Desperate to escape, Lianne got on the next flight and flew home in agony. There, she went straight to the doctors and was seen by a specialist.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u2018I asked him if I was going to survive but he simply couldn\u2019t give me an answer. However it was unsuccessful as her left breast implant would not stay in place and three months later she had another operation. Again her breasts rejected the implants and so they had to be removed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">\u2018I was left with immense scarring and deformed breasts, one with half a nipple,\u2019 she said. \u2018I couldn\u2019t live looking like that so I went under the knife again for scar removal and reconstruction without implants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;Luckily it worked. I\u2019ve been told that the latter require a minimum of 12 years specific training and must be registered under a specialist medical board, whereas cosmetic surgeons don\u2019t and may have received no training at all.\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Now Lianne has got a new partner and built up enough confidence for him to see her body.
