Manitoba confirms 5th case of measles


Manitoba health officials have reported a fifth case of measles, this time involving a man in his 20s living in the Winnipeg area.

The measles virus is passed through airborne droplets and direct personal contact. (U.S. Centres for Disease Control and Prevention)

The latest case was announced via Twitter on Wednesday.

Manitoba Health is warning people who visited the Bison Medical Walk-In Clinic on April 11 between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. that they might have been exposed to measles.
