Every infant, even the smallest preemies, could join in according to organizers.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153The NICU can be so stressful and so intense for both our staff and our families,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Deb Skopec, neonatal nurse who helped organize the even. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153This is just a day where we lighten up a little bit.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\n<\/p>\n<p>\nSkopec said the infants they care for range from those who weigh under 1 pound to larger full-term babies who might have other health issues.\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"e_image e_full\" id=\"e_image_34864423\"><span class=\"credit\">Advocate Childrens Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois<br \/><\/span><br \/><figcaption><span class=\"caption\">Haynes\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 family turned him into Star Wars hero Hans Solo.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Some of sicker babies can wear a little hat, this way everyone can be involved,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Skopec.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nShe said many of the parents have gotten into the spirit of things with one mom planning out a Batman and Superman costume for her twin boys and another family buying three choices for their little one\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s first Halloween. Skopec said one difficulty is finding costumes for infants that are so undersized, but that they have stumbled on an interesting solution.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Some of them are making them and some of them went to Build-a-Bear\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6They look for doll clothes,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Skopec explained.
