In that situation, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153the path of least resistance is for the semen to go into the bladder,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d says Kaufman.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why Does This Even Happen?<\/strong><br \/>\n\tDry orgasms can happen after a man has prostate surgery, says Kevin Campbell, M.D., a urologist with The Urology Group in Ohio. They\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re also more likely in men who have Type 1 diabetes and those who are taking certain medications, including ones for hair loss, says Kaufman.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Does It Hurt?<\/strong><br \/>\n\tWhile it sounds bizarre, experts say it doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t hurt or cause any harm to the guy. Though it can cause fertility issues, which men are warned about in advance if they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re about to have certain procedures done. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153We counsel all of our patients that if we do a certain type of prostate surgery, they are going to have dry ejaculate,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d says Kaufman. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153For some, that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a deal-breaker.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p><strong>What it Means For You<\/strong><br \/>\n\tIf you or your guy suddenly notice he has a lot less, <em>uh<\/em>, fluid coming out after his O than usual, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a good idea to have him see his doctor to find out what\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s causing it.<\/p>\n<p>If he checks out OK and you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re not trying to conceive, you shouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t be worried. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153There\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s absolutely nothing wrong with retrograde ejaculation,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d says Kaufman.
