Hong Kong (HKSAR) – A Labour Department (LD) spokesman today (December 29) reminded members of the public to note the application deadline of the Work Incentive Transport Subsidy (WITS) Scheme. Individual-based and household-based applicants may apply for subsidy not exceeding the last 12 months in each application. For subsidy starting from January 2013, applications should be submitted before the end of January 2014.
Application forms for the WITS Scheme are available at Job Centres, the Headquarters and WITS Division of the LD, Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department, and Social Security Field Units of the Social Welfare Department.
Members of the public may also download the application form from the LD’s homepage (www.labour.gov.hk).
Enquiries about the application deadline and details of the Scheme can be made at its 24-hour hotline 2717 1771 (handled by 1823) and enquiry counters of the WITS Division at G/F, 15 Middle Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Details of the Scheme are also available at the LD’s homepage (www.labour.gov.hk).
