Peter Li began his stage management career in 1978 as a stage lighting technician. During the 1980s and ’90s, he was a lighting designer for various performing arts companies in Hong Kong, with productions ranging from drama and dance to opera.

In 1992, he won the Best Lighting Design award at the first Hong Kong Drama Awards presented by the Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies. He joined the Hong Kong Cultural Centre in 1989 and worked on the stage management team for 23 years. During his career, he has worked on musicals, classical operas and drama productions by international and local performing arts groups.

He has also worked on many technically challenging productions that required exceptionally high standards.

With years of experience in stage management, Li succeeds in making each show a success by meeting the highest possible standards, whether in technical or artistic terms, or in addressing the needs and expectations of theatre professionals.
