Sweat to This Empowering 55-Minute Workout Playlist

Every week, Your New Favorite Playlist introduces you to workout-worthy tunes from a different fitness brand. This week, Uplift Studios, located in New York City, shares one of its recent playlists.

Sometimes, it’s kind of nice to be hit on at the gym—but other times, you don’t want anyone of the male persuasion so much as looking at you while you’re sweating. Uplift Studios, located in New York City, is perfect for those times.

“It’s an all-women studio,” says Chelsea Dornan, an instructor and personal trainer at Uplift. “It’s a community—a place where you can come and relax and have a glass of wine after class.”

The studio offers classes in strength training, high-intensity interval training, and something called sculpt fusion (a low-impact workout that’s still hardcore). Dornan created this playlist for one of her strength-training classes, but you can use it to power through any of your longer workouts:

1. Fergie, Q-Tip, and Goon Rock, “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got)”
2. Beyoncé, “Countdown”
3. Freak Nasty, “Da’ Dip” (Original)
4. Jay Z, “I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)”
5. Icona Pop, “I Love It” (feat. Charli XCX—Cobra Starship Remix)
6. will.i.am, “Feelin’ Myself” (feat. Miley Cyrus, French Montana, Wiz Khalifa, and DJ Mustard)
