    It’s one of the first things you do in the morning, and very often the last thing you do before going to bed. Brush your teeth.<\/p>\n

    But while brushing back and forth against your pearly whites, while doing other things, you’ve probably never wondered how hygienic the toothbrush in your mouth really is.<\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    Now a dentist has taken to TikTok to reveal the rather disturbing reason why he keeps a close eye on the location of his toothbrush. <\/p>\n

    According to a dentist on TikTok, it may not be such a good idea to store the brush there, as it means the bristles get covered in all sorts of things you really don’t want in your mouth<\/p>\n

    TikTok Dentist Dr. Jordan Brown revealed the disgusting fact about where we keep toothbrushes in a video on his TikTok channel<\/p>\n

    Thoroughly cleaning your teeth twice a day — for two minutes — keeps them from rotting and plaque buildup. Colgate experts also recommend replacing toothbrushes every three to four months.<\/p>\n

    After that, dentist Dr. Jordan Brown revealed a disgusting fact about where we naturally store toothbrushes in a video on his TikTok channel.<\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    In the video, which has more than 120,000 likes, the dentist explained that no matter how spick and span you keep your bathroom, the reason there’s a toilet is why your toothbrush should be elsewhere.<\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    Dr. Brown explains, \u201cEveryone should know this about their toothbrush. If you can see your toilet and your toothbrush in the same view without moving your head, there’s a 99 percent chance you have stool on your toothbrush. <\/p>\n

    ‘Aerosols from your toilet spray into the air and end up everywhere, including on your toothbrush.’ <\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    To use a technical term, every time you flush the toilet, it causes something called a “stool fountain.”<\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    This sprays microscopic droplets from the toilet bowl all over the surrounding space – and that includes your toothbrush, which rests innocently in a glass on the sink. <\/p>\n

    And it’s clear that the best place to store your standard or electric toothbrush is in the bedroom.<\/p>\n

    But if this is too much of a hassle for you, it has been suggested that you delete your toothbrush clean by keeping it separate from other people’s toothbrushes.<\/span><\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    You can also buy covers to put on the head to keep nasty germs away.<\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    And the video of Dr. Brown has garnered more than 1,000 comments, as many TikTok users have revealed where they store their toothbrush.<\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    One person wrote, “I put mine in the medicine cabinet.”<\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    And another said, “My toothbrush has a cover and I’m a drawer.”<\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    While a third user said, “My toilet and toothbrush are in different rooms.”<\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    Someone else said, “I close the lid when I flush, so I think I’m good.” <\/p>\n

    n<\/p>\n

    While a disgusting person jokingly said, “I dip my toothbrush in the toilet, so I think I’m fine.” <\/p>\n

    And another comedian wrote, “That’s why I brush my teeth in the kitchen.” <\/p>\n
