From&#8230;<\/span><br \/>\n        <\/a>\n      <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;This disorder is usually reversible in the first 72 hours after the exposure, but if symptoms persist, the damage could become permanent.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Dr Zawawi&#8217;s team tested the theory on animals, exposing them to a sound of 110 dB &#8211; similar to the noise of loud concert &#8211; for one hour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Half the animals had a daily dose of caffeine, the other half had no caffeine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">After the first day, there was no difference between the two groups&#8217; hearing recoveries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">But after eight days of tests, the group consuming regular doses of caffeine showed significant hearing impairment compared to the other half.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The maximum recommended intake of caffeine is 3mg\/kg a day &#8211; the same as three 8oz cups of coffee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Many sodas wildly exceed that guideline, containing more than 200mg per can.<\/p>\n<p>      <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"i-74a1df76f9bb2283\" src=\"http:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/i\/pix\/2016\/07\/08\/18\/3614D30E00000578-3681286-image-a-21_1467999518777.jpg\" height=\"421\" width=\"634\" alt=\"Ears usually recover from exposure to construction nooise, loud music or airplane sound within 72 hours.
