This brand-name medication replaces the body\u2019s pancreatic enzymes, helping restore normalcy to the digestive tract.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But that normalcy might come at a cost. Like other prescription drugs, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creon<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can be pricey. But there are also some great ways to reduce those out-of-pocket costs. We\u2019ll discuss a few of the best ones here.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"how-much-does-creon-cost\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How much does Creon cost?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For anyone paying for Creon (pancrelipase) completely out of pocket, the average retail price is around $931 for 90 delayed-release capsules\u2014about a 30-day supply. That\u2019s around $10 per capsule without insurance and could cost over $11,000 over an entire year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And while that might seem financially daunting, know that people don\u2019t often have to pay the full cash price\u2014especially people who have insurance. The drug\u2019s manufacturer, AbbVie Inc., says that 90% of people with commercial insurance or Medicare Part D have preferred coverage with the lowest copay or coinsurance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, insurance coverage doesn\u2019t necessarily mean Creon will be free. The out-of-pocket cost depends on the insurance plan\u2014specifically which drug tier they place it in. Each plan has a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">formulary<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which classifies drugs into two to five tiers and explains how much they\u2019ll cover. Typically, generics occupy the lowest tier and receive the best coverage, while specialty drugs are on the highest tier and have the highest copays. Free Creon coupons<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coupons from <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> can instantly take hundreds off Creon\u2019s price. According to the drug\u2019s website, enrollees can pay as little as $5 per month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like CFCareForward, eligible patients must have commercial insurance coverage but cannot receive support from government-funded programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Medicare beneficiaries who meet specific income requirements might be eligible to enroll in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicare.gov\/basics\/costs\/help\/drug-costs\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Extra Help<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which provides additional financial assistance for prescription medications.
