As many as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC3765115\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">70% of people <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">treated with corticosteroids for long periods reported some type of <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">weight gain<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. So, common diabetes drugs like insulin, sulfonylureas, and thiazolidinediones<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/S2667368122000365\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">may cause <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">weight gain<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Weight gain<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from these medications can occur in men or women, and anyone worried about it should talk to a doctor about the risks, benefits, and possible alternatives.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"certain-medical-conditions\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Certain <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">medical conditions<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Medical conditions<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> might be the culprit behind weight gain.
