Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and sometimes constipation. However, TZDs are not perfect. For example, only 1.6% of statin users had major liver events compared to 2% of non-users over about 10 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Common statins include:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Most people can take statins safely. But like all medicines, statins may sometimes cause side effects. The most common <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">side effects of statins<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are muscle aches, mild stomach upset, or, rarely, changes in liver test results. Regular checkups can help spot any problems early.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"the-future-of-medications-for-fatty-liver\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The future of medications for fatty liver\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Researchers are working on many different types of drugs for fatty liver disease.
