That said, they aren\u2019t always a solution. \u201cWhile many home remedies circulate online, I caution against most DIY treatments due to a lack of clinical evidence and potential irritation,\u201d Dr. Goldberg says. \u201cFor instance, tea tree oil and apple cider vinegar are commonly touted, but can cause skin burning or allergic reactions when applied to sensitive areas.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Here are some common remedies touted online. While there\u2019s some evidence of their antimicrobial properties, like Dr. Goldberg says, there isn\u2019t much evidence specifically pertaining to male yeast infections. So speak with a healthcare provider before trying any.\u00a0<\/span><b\/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Apple Cider Vinegar: <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC8369171\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Research from 2021<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> suggests that apple cider vinegar has antimicrobial properties and can prevent the growth of various fungi\u2014including Candida.
