The countries with the world’s largest penises have been revealed, but it’s bad news if you’re from the US or the UK.
On average, men living in Ecuador and Cameroon have the largest members, with penises measuring nearly 7 inches (17 cm) from the root to the tip of the head when erect.
The US and UK didn’t even make the top 50, while America languished at 60th place with men averaging 5.4 inches (13.5 cm)?nearly a third shorter. Great Britain ranked 68th, with a penis size of 5.2 inches (13.1 cm).
Researchers behind the list said they struggled to find a link between penis length and height, but found that countries with higher obesity rates tended to have smaller members, which could explain the distribution of adipose tissue.

To find out which countries have the largest penises, researchers in Germany combed through more than 40 recent studies involving thousands of men.
The team pulled data on average penis size from nearly 90 countries, independently verifying the measurements.
Whenever possible, the team avoided using studies where men self-reported their penis size.
In cases where individuals had a fat pad above the penis, this was slightly compressed to aid in measurements.
These were all averaged for each country and then converted to inches to allow comparison between different countries.
Previously, fitness instructors have said that men can add inches to their penis simply by losing weight.
Of the top 20 countries, half were in Africa, three in South America, North America and Europe.
Only one of the top countries for penis length was Asia.
The European countries with the largest total penis size were the Netherlands – ninth at 6.2 inches – France – 11th at 6.2 inches – and Italy – 19th at 6 inches.
In North American countries, for men, Haiti ranked fifth at 6.3 inches, Cuba ranked eighth at 6.2 inches, and Canada ranked 13th at 6.2 inches.
At the other end of the scale was Cambodia, with an average penis size of 3.95 inches.
Myanmar followed it – 4.21 inches – the Philippines – 4.27 inches – and Sri Lanka – 4.29 inches.
Researchers also collected average male height by country and found little association between height and penis size.
They did not look at the girth of the penis shaft by country.
Doctors say that the length of a man’s penis is primarily determined by genetic factors, not lifestyle.
The penis develops in the womb and during puberty, where hormones such as testosterone stimulate growth.
But some studies have suggested a link between height and height, including one paper involving nearly 5,000 Italian men, who found that ‘height is proportional to the length of the penis in flaccidity and in erection’.
Overweight or obese men may appear to have smaller penises due to excess fat in the pubic area.

In terms of preference, some studies have shown that women prefer men with larger penises for one-off sexual encounters.
But for a long-term sexual partner, researchers at the University of California, Los Angeles, said women generally prefer men with smaller penises.
