So Karena and Katrina, of Tone It Up, joined us this week with a snack that satisfies your sweet tooth and is brimming with holiday spirit…oh, and it fuels your body with healthy ingredients. Yep, that’s possible.Â
We whipped up their easy-peasy pecan pie protein bites (all you need are six ingredients and a food processor) and then proceeded to eat all of them. Because they’re that delicious.Â
Check it out!Â
Pecan Pie Protein Bites
2 Tsbp pecans ground
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (Karena and Katrina use their brand, Perfect Fit)
1/8 tsp maple extract
1/8 cup quinoa crisps
3-4 medjool dates, pitted (err toward 4 if your dates are smaller)
1 Tbsp coconut oil
1. Place the pecans into the food processor, and blend. Pour into a mixing bowl. Add vanilla protein powder through the maple extract to the bowl. Place dates in food processor, and grind until they reach a paste-like consistency. Add to bowl.Â
2. Warm up coconut oil in microwave for 30 seconds. Add to mixture, and stir until fully incorporated. Roll into one-inch balls, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.Â

The bites are the perfect mouthful of pecan pie flavor, minus the crazy added sugar you normally get in a slice. Plus, they come with a little kick of protein! They’re great for a snack before or after a workout—or whenever you have a hankering for a festive treat.Â
