Speaking from LA, the 30-year-old can barely contain her excitement over the launch of To Be Honest, her new range of nutritional supplements that has been almost a year in the making.

With a dizzying schedule – this year alone she has been busy filming Celebs Go Dating and Made In Chelsea, starred in a fashion campaign and enjoyed a romance with Joey Essex – it’s hard to imagine how she squeezed in time for her latest venture.

But Stephanie explains the range is a cause close to he heart – and was inspired by years of confidence issues caused by bad skin.

‘When I was in high school I had such sensitive skin that I would burn it trying out all these different products,’ she reveals.

‘I had such bad acne that I would often just stay at home. I’d be so depressed and crying that I would miss school.’

But spending much of her twenties in the glare of the public eye – she shot to fame on The Hills in 2007 – has taught her a thing or two about beauty.

Over the years she became something of a skincare expert, and she has now built up an impressive armoury comprising 12 supplements a day. ‘The amount of vitamins and minerals every day would probably to someone else be crazy,’ she admits.

But her obsession has clearly paid off with the star boasting the kind of complexion that would make a supermodel jealous – and Stephanie admits she still getting used to people complimenting her on it.

The reality TV darling says she has adopted a healthier approach to eating, too: ‘I’m 30 now and since I was 14 I’ve been on so many fad diets,’ she confesses.

‘Like when you don’t eat all day and then you just eat dinner. I’ve done the baby food diet too. But that would just slow down my metabolism and then I’d gain even more weight.’

While she concedes that ‘you can’t just eat whatever you like,’ Stephanie happily abides by the 70:30 rule of being ‘good’ 70 per cent of the time.

Thankfully, this allows her to indulge in her favourite food, cheeseburgers, ‘at least once a week’.

‘It keeps me normal,’ she explains. ‘And (I’ve learned) from when I was younger, being so concerned with my weight and body, that the less I eat the slower my metabolism gets.’

Since moving to the UK three years ago – and being ‘shocked’ at how few juice bars and salad joints there were – she is now a big fan of English food like cottage pie.

‘There’s nothing I won’t eat,’ she laughs. ‘I had cottage pie a couple of years ago for the first time and I love it. I don’t know how to make it but whenever I’m at Harrods I get it and I just warm it up at home!’

On a typical day, she’ll whip up a protein shake or avocado and eggs on toast for breakfast. Lunch will be a Mexican salad from Toss’d or sushi from Whole Foods, and she’ll often have chicken, mashed potato and vegetables for dinner.

Other than that, Stephanie is now busying herself with the launch of her new range which she describes as ‘everything that I take every single day’ – to help with everything from skin to metabolism and portion control – and is available on her website, NutritionBySteph.com.

Crucially, though, she is enjoying a much healthier attitude to health and fitness than ever before.

‘Now, working out is just something that makes me happy,’ she insists. ‘If I’m really stressed out about something I’ll just go downstairs and put on hip-hop or gangster rap and just jog on the treadmill. I just feel so much better.

‘At this point I do it more for my happiness than for my body.’
