Behind every beautiful thing there’s some kind of pain, Bob Dylan once sang.
And no one knows that more than Mama June Shannon, after having her turkey neck removed.
A new clip from her upcoming docu-series From Not To Hot has revealed the moment she awoke from the painful cosmetic surgery.

In the clip, the 37-year-old can be seen coming to, covered in draining tubes, her bloated face wrapped tight in thick bandages.
‘Doing pretty good,’ she mutters to Brenda, first nurse to come check on her, before confirming her sense of humor remains intact: ‘Who put the lumberjack pants on me?’

‘You are looking hot, Mama,’ the medical assistant tells the reality star. ‘The doctor said everything went great and in the morning you get to lose all of these little bulbs. You look like a Christmas tree.’
‘He’s put more drains on me this time, and it [expletive] is killing me,’ the mother of one confesses in the voice-over.

‘Just so you know, I spoke to everybody back in Georgia and your family knows that you are doing great,’ Brenda assures her.
‘I’m glad the girls know I’m okay, because I was worried about them being worried because the surgery took so long,’ Shannon continues in the voiceover. ‘I just hope the pain doesn’t last as long as it did last time.’
In a clip released the day before, Honey Boo Boo’s mom confessed she is going to miss her turkey neck when it’s gone.

Trademark: The reality star admitted the feature was ‘more famous than I am’
‘I’m ready to get the surgery over with to remove my turkey neck, but I’m kinda gonna miss my turkey neck,’ she admits. ‘It’s more famous than I am.’
The TLC star has gone through a dramatic transformation for the series, going from 400 pounds to a size 4 through gastric bypass surgery, diet and exercise.
As well as the skin removal on her arms and neck, she also had a tummy tuck and breast lift.
Episode six – Mama June’s Big Reveal – airs on WE tv on Friday.
