New blood pressure monitor MOCACuff helps you improve heart health at home
Cardiovascular monitoring device company MOCACARE Monday unveiled the details of its latest release, the MOCACuff, a wireless home blood pressure monitor.
The MOCACuff is the second launch from the Silicon Valley-based MOCACARE, and joins the existing MOCAheart device in helping users look after their own heart health at home. The MOCAheart uses thumb scans to measure heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and pulse wave velocity — a measurement of arterial stiffness correlated to blood pressure and widely recognized as one of the best indicators of overall cardiovascular health.
The new FDA-approved MOCACuff is a portable blood pressure cuff that allows individuals to check and monitor their own blood pressure at home, making it part of everyone’s daily health routine.
Designed to be worn comfortably on the wrist, the MOCACuff has also been created to improve accuracy, with uncomfortable or badly-fitting upper arm cuffs one of the most common problems associated with inaccurate or failed readings.
Once on, users simply need to press a button for a reading. The MOCACuff screen displays pulse rate, systolic and diastolic measurements, and a color-coded indicator that corresponds to the American Heart Association’s (AHA) blood pressure categories shows users quickly and easily where their own heart health lies.
To also make it easier for users, MOCACuff’s readings can be synced quickly with its own MOCACARE App, to keep a track of health data and allow users to view their progress and see their improvements. The app even provides personalized health recommendations based on guidelines from the American Heart Association to helps users improve heart health and achieve their health goals.
Results can also be shared with others and multiple users added, to allow friends and family to try MOCA devices and offer some support and extra encouragement, and to improve heart health together.
