‘Exercise is key,’ Thandie, 44, has said. ‘Until you’re 30 you don’t need to do any, after that it’s a different story.’
Thandie does yoga four times a week
She does yoga four times a week which ‘stretches out’ her body and ‘leaves me full of joy and optimism’.
What to try:
The seated lateral raise. Sit on a bench with your feet shoulder-width apart.
Holding a dumbbell or bottle of water in each hand bend forward at your hips until your upper body is at 45 degrees.
With palms facing each other open your arms outward (keeping them straight) until the weights are in line with your shoulders.
Pause for a second, and slowly release.
Repeat 8-10 times, and do the set three times.
