The 10 Grossest Feet Doctors Have Ever Seen (Illustrated With Cute Animals)

“A patient came to my office complaining of pain on the bottom of the foot, but when I examined it, there was no redness or swelling. What I did see: a darkened spot, approximately the size of a pen point that was visible on the skin surface.

“I used a scalpel to make a small opening in the skin, and then used a pair of very small, delicate surgical tweezers to take grab hold of the dark spot.

“Very gently, I pulled out what turned out to be a two-inch long dog hair, which had somehow become completely embedded in the patient’s foot. My theory is that the hair likely found its way inside the patient’s running shoe and the pointed end found its way into the foot and settled fairly deeply.
