Watch Miley Cyrus’ Emotional Tribute To The Las Vegas Shooting Victims

Appearing on stage to open the show, Miley Cyrus performed a cover of Dido’s song “No Freedom” accompanied by Adam Sandler. The YouTube video already has nearly half a million views:

Miley ended that song by saying “Peace to everybody,” but she wasn’t done. She returned to stage at the end of the show to perform her song “The Climb,” which she said she hasn’t performed in years.

It’s not the first time Miley has stood up for peace and unity. Following the suicide bombing that killed 22 at an Ariana Grande concert, Miley and Ariana performed “Don’t Dream It’s Over” at the benefit concert One Love Manchester.

Miley is certainly a beautiful singer and we love her moving message, but we really hope there aren’t more tragedies like this one.
