Your Baby Can Now Fall Asleep to the Sweet Tunes of Hamilton

From Redbook

Brahms’ Lullaby is so 1868. Why not lull your (ostensibly Broadway-bound) baby to sleep with some slowed down renditions of your favorite Hamilton songs? That’s a thing you can do now, it’s fun for the whole ~theatrical~ family.

Rockabye Baby – a company that produces lullaby versions of popular artists’ music – released eight lullaby-ified Hamilton songs last Friday. The songs featured on the album are the opening number “Alexander Hamilton,” “My Shot,” “The Schuyler Sisters,” “You’ll Be Back,” “Helpless,” “Satisfied,” “Wait for It,” and “Say No to This,” the last of which is sort of weird given that it’s about resisting an extramarital affair, but, whatever, the music’s good! Culture!

Perhaps you’ll breed your baby into a Broadway-bound star, or someone who can – when they can enunciate clearly – duet with you. Then have another baby, and all three of you can perform “The Schuyler Sisters” for your whole family. Just kidding. But your call. Like I said, culture.

You can listen to the first track below. No shame if you want to download the songs just for yourself, too. It’s $8.99 for all 8 tracks on Rockabye Baby’s site, and the music is also available on iTunes for, Apple Music, Amazon, and Spotify. You can listen to samples of the tracks here.
