AMGA premieres first segments of in-depth, online program aimed at nation’s healthcare industry

Last week at its 2015 Annual Conference, the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) premiered the first segments of an in-depth, online program specifically aimed at the nation’s healthcare industry, High-Performing Health. Produced in conjunction with ITN Productions, the news and current affairs-style program explores the work being done across the nation to achieve the triple aim of improving the health of populations and the patient experience at a lower cost.

High-Performing Health is a combination of interviews, news items, and sponsored editorial profiles focusing on innovative ideas to improve outcomes, progressive ways of identifying those at high risk in the community, and managing the transition to a value-based payment model. It also looks at the use of data and technology to enhance efficiency, patient engagement, and clinical outcomes.

“We hope that our members will be able to use these videos to help educate their patients, communities, the media, and legislators about the superior, coordinated care delivered at medical groups and other organized systems of care,” said Donald W. Fisher, Ph.D., CAE, AMGA’s president and chief executive officer.

Participants include leaders and care teams from Aurora Health Care, The Everett Clinic, Henry Ford Health System, The Iowa Clinic, Mayo Clinic Health System, Mercy, Ochsner Health System, Prevea Health Services, PriMed Physicians, ProHealth Physicians, Scripps Health, St. John Health System, Sutter Health, Trinity Health Physician Network, Wayne State University Physician Group, Tulane University Medical Group, Weill Cornell Medical College, and Westchester Heart Specialists, as well as experts from Coker Group, The Medical Letter, MediSync, Moss Adams, PerfectServe, Physician Leadership Institute, and Physicians Realty Trust.

“As the voice for coordinated, accountable health care for decades, AMGA is proud to partner with ITN on this project,” said Fisher. “We hope it will further educate the public and healthcare stakeholders on the benefits of care delivered by High-Performing Health Systems™. It is an exciting look at all the positive change taking place in our industry and how these changes can give us all hope for a better future for the American healthcare system.”
