A woman who thought she’d had sheep fat injected into her lips reveals how her enhanced pout began to get bigger every year despite having the procedure done more than 12 years ago.

US mother Ashley says she was desperate to get her lips ‘done’ and was advised that injections of sheep fat were the way to do it best.

However, while her pumped-up lips looked good at first, she says they soon began to look strange and even began to grow larger every year.

In a bid to restore her former smile, she took part in plastic surgery programme Botched!

The show’s doctors, Dr. Nassif and Dr. Dubrow discuss her story before meeting her, with Dr Nassif asking his co-surgeon how many people come into his office with ‘something foreign put into their lips’.

Dr. Dubrow assumes that he is talking about cement or concrete, but Dr. Nassif reveals that their next patient says she’s had sheep’s fat fillers.

‘Sheep’s cells?’ Dr. Dubrow asks in disbelief. ‘I don’t believe that.’ However, Dr. Nassif points out that she specifically said ‘sheep’s fat’ – not cells.

The doctors go on to look at photos of Ashley on their iPad, and they agree that her lips are really ‘big’.

‘What country was this done in? In this country? No way,’ Dr. Dubrow says after Dr. Nassif says she’s had her lip injected in the US.

When Ashley comes in to join them, she explains that her sister found a woman that would make house-calls, and she injected her lips with ‘sheep’s fat’.

However, Dr. Dubrow isn’t buying that and he immediately asks what color the syringe was.

After Ashley confirms that the syringe was filled with a clear — not yellow — substance that was a liquid and not a solid, Dr. Dubrow asks if she thought her lips looked ‘good for a while’ after they ‘healed a little bit’.

Ashley says she liked her lips initially, but she notes that they weren’t as large as they are now.

‘It’s been 12 years and they get bigger every year,’ she explains.

Ideally, Ashley agrees with the doctors that she would like her lips to be half the size they are now.

‘The typical patient will come in at most will get 1cc maybe one and a half in their upper and lowers.  You probably have 7 or 8ccs in each lip,’ Dr. Dubrow estimates.

‘But you don’t have big lips because you had necessarily too much put in, your body has had an immunologic reaction to the foreign material that was put in,’ he continues. ‘By the way. if you had sheep fat put in, you would immediately had acute rejection response.’

Dr. Nassif jumps in to agree, explaining that if she had gotten sheep’s fat injected into her lips, an infection would have developed, she would have gotten sick, and she would almost immediately have to go to the emergency room.

‘So what is it that has stayed this long?’ Ashley asks of her engorged lips.

Dr. Nassif goes on to say that she was most likely given injections of ‘non-medical grade non-sterile silicone’.

After undergoing the operation, Ashley’s lips are freed of a long slither of hardened silicone which has been setting in her smile for over a decade.

Botched! airs on Tuesdays at 9pm on E!
