I Lost 70 Pounds Once I Decided to Lose Weight for Myself and No One Else

When I set out to lose weight, I knew I needed to eat healthy, but I also had a crazy schedule. Cooking didn’t seem like an option. So, I decided to give Jenny Craig, a food delivery program, a shot. This plan gave me structure for all three meals, which was a change from just eating whatever I wanted, whenever I could.

After a couple of years on the plan, I started learning how to cook for myself, and how to add to the Jenny Craig meals to change them up.

Outside of the program, I eat a lot of vegetables and fruit. Instead of soda, I drink a lot of water. I aim to sip an amount equal to about half of my bodyweight over the course of the day. I also added a protein shake into my morning routine, instead of skipping breakfast. Overall, my diet has changed drastically and I have found I don’t crave the foods I used to. And when I do have them, my body doesn’t respond well, which makes me want them even less.
