Kyrgyz president cancels New York trip due to health problems

BISHKEK (Reuters) – Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev canceled a trip to New York on Monday after suffering chest pains during the flight, his spokesman said.

β€œHe is being examined now,” spokesman Almaz Usenov said, adding that Atambayev, who turned 60 last week, was in Turkey.
