Melbourne woman looks a DIFFERENT PERSON after weight loss

While Daniela Beris, from Melbourne, knew she was overweight, it wasn’t until she was refused IVF on account of being too big that she knew something had to change.

The 35-year-old then decided to get gastric sleeve surgery, booking the surgery the very next day so she didn’t have the chance to think too much about it.

‘I spiralled into devastation and depression directly after the doctors told me I wasn’t a good fit for IVF,’ she told Daily Mail Australia.

‘That moment was the trigger for an event that would change my life.’

Nearly two years later, Ms Beris has dropped from 136 kilograms to 75 kilos, predominantly thanks to her sleeve surgery. She also looks like a different person.

‘I think I look f***ing amazing, and that’s something I’ve never been able to say before,’ she told FEMAIL.

‘Finally, I can walk into a shop and try on whatever I want feeling good.’

'I don't know if I was an emotional eater, but if I was happy, I would eat, if I was sad, I would eat. I'd work out, but it never seemed to make a difference,' she said (pictured before)

'I'd always wanted kids, and was never able to fall pregnant, because I was overweight. If I'd have thought too much about booking the surgery so quickly, I might not have done it,' Ms Beris told FEMAIL

While she always exercised and trained, Ms Beris said she also ‘ate what I wanted whenever I wanted it’.

‘I don’t know if I was an emotional eater, but if I was happy, I would eat, if I was sad, I would eat. I’d work out, but it never seemed to make a difference,’ she added.

And while for a long time, her weight didn’t hugely bother her – in fact, the 35-year-old got married at 136 kilos – Ms Beris also said that when she got told she couldn’t get the IVF, something went off in her head.

‘I’d always wanted kids, and was never able to fall pregnant, because I was overweight. If I’d have thought too much about booking the surgery so quickly, I might not have done it.’

Following the surgery in October 2015, Ms Beris started merely consuming liquids – and slowly re-introduced solid foods into her diet several weeks later.

‘I hit my target weight of 75 kilos within a year, and now eat whatever I want – just in very small portions.

‘I normally eat six to eight small meals each day – and I mainly eat to fuel my body rather than for my emotions.

‘Having said that, I still get to eat my chocolate jam doughnuts, which I love, and I have half a cup of Twisties or Burger Rings every single day.’

Ms Beris also works out with a personal trainer three times a week. and she harbours hopes of re-shooting her wedding photos now that she is a size 10.

‘I’d love to re-take them because I hate those photos,’ she said.

‘We’re still hopeful that we still might have a baby, but we’re going to wait and see what happens naturally because we did two more rounds of IVF last year and they didn’t work.

‘I’m happy that I have had the sleeve surgery done, and I love feeling better than ever and hearing that I look great, because it’s something I’ve never heard before.

‘My advice for anyone thinking about getting gastric sleeve surgery done is, just do it. You won’t regret it.’
