Messages for Youth Newly Diagnosed with Bipolar (Video)

For youth, being newly diagnosed with a bipolar spectrum disorder can be a scary and confusing time.

CREST.BD is a participatory community-based research group from UBC that studies bipolar disorders. In one of their initiatives, Peer Researcher Andrea Pacquette co-led the Bipolar Youth Action Project (BYAP) that studied Vancouver Island youth living with bipolar disorders, and how they managed the illness.

This brief but powerful video compiles key messages from the BYAP Youth Action Group, sharing hope, signposting the way to help and self-care, and assuring viewers that they are not alone.
