More charges for driver accused of plowing into Las Vegas pedestrians

LAS VEGAS (Reuters) – An Oregon woman accused of plowing into pedestrians on the Las Vegas Strip faces dozens of additional charges, including attempted murder, in connection with the Dec. 20 incident, a Nevada judge said at a hearing on Wednesday.

Lakeisha Holloway, 24, is charged with 71 counts, including murder in the death of an Arizona woman, attempted murder, battery with a deadly weapon and child abuse or neglect for having her 3-year-old daughter with her in her car as she struck pedestrians, Nevada Judicial Officer Diana Sullivan said. Holloway originally was charged with murder, child abuse or neglect and failure to stop at the scene of a collision.
