New Research Says People Who Wear This Type of Jeans Are the Happiest

Love your skinny jeans? You probably love your life, too. At least that’s what a new survey from private research company Qualtrics suggests, according to a story from the U.K.’s Daily Mail Online. According to the findings, the fit of your jeans are a giveaway on how happy, confident, and even environmentally friendly you are.

The survey suggests that people who wear skinny jeans are nine percent more likely to report “the highest levels of happiness” than people who don’t wear skinnies.

And in not shocking at all news: People who say they’re “extremely or very confident” are 12 percent more likely to be fans of skinnies.

It’s also not surprising that 33 percent of people who wear skinny jeans also ride motorcycles since, last we checked, flares and rapidly spinning tires aren’t exactly best buds.

But the survey found some weirder stats, too: For example, fans of skinny jeans are more likely to sit in the aisle than by the window on airplanes (so they can stretch out and avoid cutting off their leg circulation?). They’re also eight percent less likely to be into Apple computers than PCs.

People in big cities are also twice as likely to wear skinny jeans as people in small cities because…no clue.

But while all of that is fun, apparently skinny jeans make us jerks when it comes to saving the planet. The survey found that people who report recycling the most are seven percent less likely to wear skinnies.

Worth pointing out: Qualtrics doesn’t appear to be sharing any info on how many people actually participated in this survey, so we have no idea how reliable (or not) it is.

But if you’re planning to go to a rally for the environment any time soon, maybe leave your skinnies at home. Or dare to be different—your choice!
