An obese mother has lost more than four stone after she was too insecure to undress in front of her husband or walk her daughters to school.
Rebecca Hendry, 25, from Harwich, Essex, weighed 15st 3lbs at her heaviest after binging on nearly 6,000 calories a day.
Despite husband Mark Hendry, 27, always being supportive, Rebecca told how her confidence hit rock bottom when she ballooned to a size 22 after snacking on crisps, sweets, chocolate, kebabs and chips.
Rebecca Hendry was once a size 22 and so insecure about her size she would not get undressed in front of her husband or walk her daughters to school. She has now dropped six dress sizes and is a size 10 weighing 11st
Rebecca says her confidence hit rock bottom when she ballooned to a size 22, pictured, due to constant snacking on crisps, sweets, chocolate, kebabs and chips. She used to binge on nearly 6,000 calories a day
She could not even bring herself to do the school run with her daughters Jessica, six, and Amelia, three, for fear they would be bullied over her appearance.
But after swapping sweet treats and takeaways for a balanced diet and exercise, Rebecca shed 4st 3lbs to become a much healthier 11st,
Now a size 10, she has the confidence to post glamorous selfies online – and has reignited the flame with Mark.

Full-time mother Rebecca said: ‘My husband is 6ft 7in so he’s a big guy and I’m only 5ft, but I was eating the same portions as he was.
‘Then two hours later I would eat a big bag of crisps and a family-sized Galaxy bar in front of the TV.
‘I got so huge. While Mark has always been so supportive and tells me that no matter what he’ll love me, I just didn’t feel happy with myself.

Rebecca, pictured with husband Mark Hendry after her weight loss) says despite Mark always being supportive, her confidence hit rock bottom and she could not get undressed in front of him
‘I couldn’t face taking my clothes off or getting changed in front of him because I didn’t even like what I saw in the mirror.

‘My confidence had hit rock bottom and I was only comfortable wearing black leggings and big baggy tops.
‘It felt so strange being that way with him. We have been together so long and I’ve always been confident with him but at that size I just wasn’t happy.
‘I just woke up one day and knew I had to do something about it. I bought a Slimming World magazine and started following the recipes and doing a bit of walking. The weight fell off.
‘Now I am so much happier and I’ve got so much more energy. I’m not just more confident with Mark but have even posted some quite glam photos on social media.
‘I never would have done that before – I hated having any pictures taken of me when I was big – but the comments I’ve had are so lovely.’
Childhood sweethearts Rebecca and Mark, who have been together for nine years, got married in 2012 and have two daughters together.
Rebecca’s low self-esteem didn’t just affect her at home but got so bad she barely left the house – and was too ashamed to walk the children to school.
The ten-minute walk left her so exhausted, Rebecca was worried she would get laughed at or her girls would be bullied over her size.
But her new-found energy means she now does the school run every day and is able to play with them in the park.
Rebecca said: ‘When I was big the walk to my daughters’ school was a real struggle. I would get so out of breath and sweaty. I couldn’t even get my youngest up in the buggy.

‘Kids can be really cruel and I was scared of them laughing at me or picking on my girls, asking why their mum was so fat, so I used to get their dad to take them.
‘I got a bit agoraphobic and could barely leave the house.
‘If I did I was just worried the whole time that people were staring at me and I remember breaking down once in a changing room because I couldn’t find anything that fit me.
‘Now I never have to tell the girls, “mummy’s not feeling up to leaving the house”. I take them to school every day and the walk is so easy and takes me less than half the time.
‘We’re always out at the park and playing and they both love cooking healthy meals with me in the kitchen.
‘Amelia always used to ask me why my tummy was so big and I’d tell her it was more to love her with but now she tells me I’m little and it is so nice to hear.
‘I think seeing me improve my relationship with food will have such a good effect on them and I’m so pleased that they can be proud of their mummy.’
