TMZ also cites sources claiming that Angelina is “fed up” with Brad’s alleged use of weed and maybe alcohol. On top of that, sources also say that Angelina believes Brad may have an anger issue.

In the filing, Angelina is asking for sole physical custody of Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne. She’s asking the judge to grant Brad only visitation rights and joint legal custody.

So what’s that mean? According to Lauren Behrman, Ph.D., a psychologist, mediator, parent coordinator, and collaborating divorce counselor in New York, asking for physical custody is a sign that Angelina doesn’t want to play nice. “What it suggests is that they’re going down a path of a more an adversarial divorce,” she says. “This is not going down a path where one is looking to really maximize co-parenting.”

As for the joint legal custody Angelina is offering up, Behrman says that refers to major decision-making about the kids. So if Angelina wanted Maddox to switch schools, for example, Brad would be consulted. But she probably wouldn’t reach out to him about more minor decisions like whether he can stay out late on Saturday night, Behrman says.

Sources tell TMZ that there was no “third person” (meaning: no one cheated); Angelina’s decision was allegedly completely based on the way Brad interacts with their kids.

BTW: Court documents reportedly list the couple’s separation date as September 15.
