The 10-K Is Basically the Best Race Ever—and This One Gives Back

Here’s the deal: Sign up for RUN 10 FEED 10 and you’ll instantly provide 10 meals to people going hungry in your community. (Did you know that 48 million Americans don’t know where they’ll get their next meal?) Since the first RUN 10 FEED 10 race in 2012, runners, and their friends and families, have provided 4.5 million meals to people in need.

If you’re thinking, “Sounds cool, maybe next year…” there’s good reason to kick your procrastinating butt into gear. This is the fifth anniversary of RUN 10 FEED 10, which means it’ll be the biggest, best year yet. (We’re SO gonna break the 5 million meal mark!) So jot it down in your G-cals: Chicago will run on Thursday, September 8; the New York race will be held on Sunday, September 18; San Francisco runners will hit the road on Saturday, October 29. (Want to get in shape, fast? Not quite ready for a 10-K? No prob. You can also sign up for a 5-K fun run this year. (That’s 3.1 miles. Here’s your training plan.) Or, if you don’t live near any of the participating cities (or just prefer to hit the streets solo), you can sign up to run your own course anytime between now and November 29.
