The ‘Bikini Body’ Is So Over, Even Victoria’s Secret Is Saying Goodbye to Swimsuits

An anonymous insider told BuzzFeed News that Victoria’s Secret will be “exiting out of all current inventory by the end of this year.” That means, after this summer, you’re going to need to go elsewhere for $40 bikinis that give you cleavage like no other.

That feeling when you forget your bikini and it totally doesn’t matter.

This isn’t a totally bad thing (even though your S.O. may beg to differ), as now you won’t have to look at women who look nothing like you in a bikini (or anyone you’ve seen IRL, for that matter).

The news comes just months after Women’s Health officially banned the use of the term “bikini body,” since, as our editor-in-chief Amy Keller Laird pointed out, it’s an unintentional insult. “Any body—every body—is a bikini body,” she wrote. “[It’s] got a shaming, negative undertone that’s become more than annoying.”
