We Styled 3 Women for Valentine’s Day Based on Their Relationship Status

Lauren has a friend visiting from out of town this weekend. First, they’ll hit dinner, followed by a showing of How to Be Single. Then it’s off to the bars for the remainder of the night. So as to not look like the thirstiest person at the bar (pardon the pun), we recommend keeping it casual. A simple silk blouse, shredded black jeans, and heeled booties exude confidence and nonchalance.

The “It’s Kind of Whatever Right Now” Gal

Tracey is in a self-described “whatever” relationship. She and her guy usually go bar hopping on their dates, so she wants something sexy but subtle. Like many women, Tracey can often be found in head-to-toe black. It’s easy to mix up the usual banality of all black by adding a print, pop of color, or texture—here we utilized all three! The leather skirt is a flirty step up from jeans.

The Married Woman

Lisa and her husband of five years have a one-year-old baby. They’re keeping it low-key with a quiet, relaxing dinner around the corner. Next, it’s back home to the couch for some Netflix and Chill (but actually, they just want to watch Netflix and chill). For a comfy look minus the sloppiness of sweatpants, a soft sweater and stretchy black pant pairing is perfect. Bonus points for the pink sweater, because if you can’t be cheesy on Valentine’s Day, what’s the point?

Conclusion: We all want to look good, but in an effortless, “I Woke Up Like This” kind of way.
