One of the things parents often joke about with new babies is that they wish they came with a manual.

While they might not come with a manual, you can now buy one, thanks to Adelaide woman Donna Mansell.

The well-known midwife has launched ‘The Baby Manual‘ an online, eight week course for new parents that teaches via short videos.

It’s filled with advice not only from the midwife, but from doctors and experts on a range of topics.

It does, for example, has contributors who are psychologists, sleep specialists, dietitians, paediatricians and obstetricians.

‘It’s really about normalising parenthood and not looking for perfection,’ Ms Mansell told Daily Mail Australia.

The midwife said that she decided to create the manual because she remembered how stressful it was with her first baby.

‘New mums often get lost in these first few weeks of parenthood,’ Ms Mansell told the Adelaide Advertiser.

‘I’ve realised, as a mum myself, it’s an overwhelming time with lots of information that’s not always credible.’

The eight week course deals with topics like ‘The first few days of motherhood—babies and poo’, ‘Normal changes post birth’ and ‘Storage of breastmilk’.

It also allows mums to ask questions, to be answered by the experts, so they can know what to do.
