Would You Buy Boner-Blocking Boxers for Your Man?

Let’s be real: Erections happen. While they’re often a (very) welcome reaction, boners can pop up when dudes least expect them. And that’s just awkward for everyone involved.

That’s why a fashion team out of Washington, D.C., has designed Bloxers. These skivvies are designed to be part boxer, part boner-blocker, according to the official Bloxers Indiegogo page.

“Our new product centers on keeping yourself or the men in your life from experiencing the negative effects of what is fundamentally a good thing,” the page reads.

Here’s how it works: Bloxers are made of cotton boxers that conceal a special boner-blocking contraption in the form of stretch fabric sewn along the inseam. The fabric (which Bloxer creators call the “deflector shield”) covers a man’s junk and allows him to, er, rise to the occasion slowly while deflecting the erection to his chosen side.

So basically, it straps a boner to a guy’s leg, hiding the evidence.

Bloxers are also tailored to a guy’s preferred boner-blocking side, with design options available for righties, lefties, and switch-hitters. They also come in the classic colors: grey, white, and black.

Creators plan to charge $25 a pop for the undies, but more expensive packages will be available that include a Bloxers T-shirt—just in case a dude wants to advertise that he’s excited on the regular.

The inventors of Bloxers also plan to give 25 percent of the company’s profits to prostate cancer research.

Creators say it makes a great gift, but…do you really want to go there at Christmas in front of Nana?

To date, Bloxers have only raised $535 of the $20,000 fundraising goal, but we have a feeling there’s a serious untapped potential among the teenage boy crowd.
