I didn’t know what a blessing pain relief was until I had it during my son’s birth. In the Netherlands, I had to be very vocal about my desire to not feel any pain during birth. I had no time for an epidural (and I wasn’t sure I wanted one anyway), but now I am very in favour of anything that helps women feel less pain.
