A High-Energy Playlist That’ll Help You Kick Your Own Butt While You’re Working Out

Every week, Your New Favorite Playlist introduces you to workout-worthy tunes from a different fitness brand. This week, Stoked 360 at BFX Studio shares a recent playlist.

“Instead of calling Stoked 360 high-intensity interval training, I call it high-intensity training—I take one of the ‘I’s’ out,” says Kira Stokes, creator of Stoked 360, a class that launched at BFX Studio this past November. “When you interval train, you’re supposed to have bouts of rest, whereas in 360, at the times when you might be resting and watching what’s going to happen in the next circuit, you jump rope.”

You read that right: Jump roping equals rest time in this workout. The class is full of strength-training circuits made up of compound exercises, plyometrics, dynamic core work, and body-weight moves—and each circuit is separated by a quick jump-rope session. “The premise behind [the class] is to make the most of the time you have, to challenge your body 360 degrees around so there’s literally no muscle left untouched—including your heart,” says Stokes. She says her clients’ heart rates stay up at a pretty high level for all 75 minutes of class time. Intense!

Stokes created the playlist below—which is similar to one she’s used in a Stoked 360 class—so that fast, get-pumped songs play during the jump rope sections of the class and then songs that make you want to drive through strength moves play during the circuit sections. Use the tunes for your own sweat-until-you-drop workout:
