Palo Alto Networks launches Prisma SASE 3.0 for enhanced device security – Business

Spread the love

Palo Alto Networks Inc. today announced Primsa SASE 3.0, a new solution that offers comprehensive security and performance for both managed and unmanaged devices.

Aimed at addressing security issues in a world where work happens anywhere and on any device, Primsa SASE 3.0 offers a unified, artificial intelligence-powered solution that enhances security and performance across all types of devices, managed or unmanaged.

Palo Alto Networks argues that as the shift to the cloud and remote has solidified the browser as the primary workspace, with the browser becoming a significant attack vector. Most work today is done in the web browser, with access to corporate data and applications like finance and email and yet the browsers are inherently insecure, with 95% of all organizations experiencing a security incident originating from browsers across all devices. This is where Primsa SASE 3.0 steps in.

Claimed to be the industry’s only SASE solution that secures both managed and unmanaged devices, it does so through a natively integrated enterprise browser that extends protection to unmanaged devices in minutes. Prisma Access Browser protects business apps and data by placing security in the browser, where users and data meet.

On the artificial intelligence side, Prisma SASE 3.0 offers large language model-powered document classification that combines the strengths of context-aware machine learning models with the power of LLM-based natural language understanding. The technology complements existing out-of-the-box data profiles to leverage a wide range of classification techniques for regulatory and compliance needs to help keep customer data secure.

A new feature in the release is Prisma SASE App Acceleration, a solution that works as part of Primsa SASE 3.0 that securely understands each user’s journey inside the app and proactively computes the dynamic content for that user, enabling application performance up to five times faster. As part of the release, Palo Alto Networks also launched the App Acceleration ecosystem, which includes partnerships with enterprise application providers to allow customers to leverage the performance-enhancing capabilities of app acceleration while maintaining robust security.

Prisma SASE 3.0 enhances system resilience by offering a 99.999% uptime service level agreement and robust cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services Inc., along with dynamic failover mechanisms for consistent business continuity.

Additionally, the new service introduces Dynamic Privileged Access, a project-based segmentation and detailed access control feature that optimizes security and access management for organizations handling multiple complex projects. Autonomous Digital Experience Management, an existing feature, now integrates both synthetic and real user monitoring to effectively identify performance bottlenecks.
